Stats and Perks

Because of the different type of fighting styles and combat abilities in Elyria, people grow with different levels in different areas to suit their fighting skills. Now, these different areas are known as stats. Here in Elyria you can find 3 different stat areas, strength, speed and endurance. Each stat can reach up to 7 levels and each level scales the specific stat to make it stronger than the last level. When you start your character, you’re given 5 points in stats, each rank up you gain 3 points to spend in your stats and level them up. Now let's go to the stats:

Strength: This stat measures the physical damage someone can deal and the strength each person has.
Speed: This stat measures the movement speed each person has and how fast they can run in a fight.
Endurance: This stat measures the amount of damage someone can take before being defeated and their resistance against attacks.

Now, going to the levels, you can find the levels untrained to legendary. These levels have numbers from 0 to 8 and need a stat point to reach their next level, however, only one stat can reach legendary level at any time. Also, no stat can’t be more than 2 points lower than your highest stat (so you can’t go 3,4,6 points since 6 is 3 points higher than 2). The levels are as following:

  • Untrained: The total of stat points for this level is 0. This level is as powerful as a normal person.
  • Starter: The total of stat points for this level is 1. This level is as powerful as a weak soldier.
  • Basic: The total of stat points for this level is 2. This level is as powerful as a normal soldier.
  • Weak: The total of stat points for this level is 3. This level is as powerful as an experimented soldier.
  • Intermediate: The total of stat points for this level is 4. This level is as powerful as a high class warrior.
  • Strong: The total of stat points for this level is 5. This level is as powerful as a top class warrior.
  • Mastered: The total of stat points for this level is 6. This level is as powerful as a strong human can ever reach.
  • Legendary: The total of stat points for this level is 7. This level is powerful to a point of being considered a legend, almost nobody in history has ever reached this power.

Strength vs Endurance
Strength and Endurance are basic stats which will fight between them. If the strength is the same as endurance, the fight will look as if they were just two street fighting guys punching each other. But if the strength is 1 point higher than the enemy’s endurance, it will move the enemy from their standing point with each attack. If the the strength is 2 points higher, the attacks will deal double damage and will push enemies back even further. If 3 it’s 3 points higher, the attacks will deal triple damage as so on. However, if the endurance is 1 point higher than the enemy’s strength, he won’t be moved if he’s punched. If he has at least 2 more points than the enemy, the melee attacks will only deal half damage. And if the endurance is at least 3 points higher, not even the enemy’s abilities will be able to move him.

Speed vs Speed
Now, moving on to speed, this stat will only interact with itself. By having the same speed, both will have the same exact reaction time and movement speed as well. However, someone’s speed is 1 point higher, they will have a clear, but small advantage on the enemy speed wise. With 2 points, they will have enough speed to defeat the enemy in speed and have a very significant control of speed in the fight, allowing them to evade melee attacks very easily. With 3 points difference in speed or more, they will be untouchable by melee attacks, and with 4 points difference, enemies won’t be able to hit them with abilities that easily either.

Perks
Finally, each different stat can give you different perks which aren't actually a big deal but can be useful in some situations. Each character will only have one perk, this perk will be decided by taking his strongest stat and taking the perk from that single stat, however, if you have more than 1 stat in the same level and are actually the highest, you can chose between any of these two, just specify it in your registered stats. The list of perks can be found below.
Strength: You can break trees with punches easily and shatter stone walls as well, maybe breaking them after 2 attacks.
Speed: You are agile and able to perform flips and run on walls, though not for too long.
Endurance: You are able to stand even more in a fight and last until you reach 25 HP instead of 100.
